My prayers are for the Bearden family. Mr. Bearden was a great man. I looked forward to seeing him and getting to speak to him for a few minutes as much I did playing golf. His great smile and friendly way were infectious and he always knew my name and as soon as I heard it, I knew it was coming from a good friend. I will truly miss him. The Memorial Service showed how much love so many had for him.

I barely knew Doug ... only from dealing with him at Bacon Park. He was always extra friendly and took the time to smile and chat for a minute or two. Strange things sometimes stick in ones mind, but I remember him fixing our hot dogs and never forgetting I wanted onions. I feel very badly for losing a really nice guy!!!

- Joe Caruso, Savannah, GA

My deepest sympathies for your loss Jean and Brandon. I always enjoyed spending time with Doug whether we were working the Bacon Park clubhouse together, playing golf, or enjoying a game of poker. He was truly a pleasure to be around. I will miss him dearly. RIP Doug.
